Crime Movie: Ace Of Spades

Characters:

-Bradley Lewis —-> A guy who smokes

-Deacon Strudwick —-> Protagonist

-Sam Perry —-> Antagonist

-Maiya Burdett —-> Dealer and Director.

Plot:

Deacon Strudwick, the protagonist, walks downstairs -in an high angle- into the ‘Poker room’ to play poker against other upper class. Deacon opens the door entrance -Mid shot- and walks in with a hood covering his head -in a low angle shot, mid shot-, there will be a quiet non-diegetic sound playing. The shot will go to an ‘over-shoulder shot’ over Sam Perry, whom is the antagonist. Sam and Deacon have a discussion, including straight eye contact. The dealer starts the game ‘Texas holdem’, and the tension begins to rise. Many people in the upper class starts to ‘fold’ because of weak hands. Since the protagonist is part of the ‘upper-class’, this creates a juxtaposition within the positions of each character. Within the game of ‘Texas Holdem’, Sam cheats and switches the cards in his hands to make a stronger hand, which is kings. The protagonist catches his, but plays with his scheme. Towards to the end of the game, Sam thinks he won, so he explains about his past involving with poker and so-on. The protagonist explains what happened during the games, and then he wins with a hand of Ace.

New Movie : Crime

Location: Underground gambling ring. 4 people in the room, three men are sat around a table, the dealer is stood to the side, right beside the side character. Opposite him, the deuteragonist sits, with a poker face resembling the protagonist:

  1. Dealer
  2. Protagonist (POKER FACE MAN)
  3. Side character (NOT POKER FACE MAN)
  4. Deuteragonist ( Gambling Friend)

Plot: The side character (Later on seen as a minor antagonist) had plotted with the dealer to cheat the game of poker, by hiding a fifth king within the deck, ensuring the deuteragonist claims the card, beforehand, the side character hid another card (2 of diamonds??) in the pocket of the Deuteragonists coat, making him the prime suspect for cheating. The protagonist, spots the small exchange and a few minutes before the game starts, steals the card from the coat pocket and slides it into the jacket pocket of the side character. During the game, when the side character calls for the coat pocket of the deuteragonist, nothing is revealed, the protagonist suggests for his pocket to be searched which the side character at first is confused but when the card is revealed to be in the side characters pocket, will immediately blame the dealer for the screw-up in their plans.

When she wakes up, Sharon has disappeared and Rose is at the entrance to the deserted, dream-like town of Silent Hill. As Rose begins the search for her daughter, she does not realize daughter, finding herself getting more and more entwined into disturbing past of Silent Hill.

My Mood Board

The Mood Board That I Have Created Are Inspirations For My Movie, I Might Not Use Some Of These In My Future Movie. But I will Keep Them In Mind For Next Time.

The types of colour that I have used in this mood board of mine are ideas of what the emotions in this movie will be e.g. Black indicates darkness, evil spirits. Orange and red indicates danger/ blood. Grey represents the old era. The doll is going to be used in my movie, who is the main antagonist.

Maiya Film Studies Plan

Hello, due to the fact that this is my FIRST blog. This will be the outlining and Genre including the schedule (which might change).

The Genre

The Genre is ‘Horror’. The reason why I have chosen this specific genre is because it takes considerable skill to actually scare an audience.

Characters~

  • Lily –>
  • Doll–> Daisy is the VOICE of the doll. She is a antagonist. The doll used to be a little girl who was sadly murdered by her family and wants to get revenge (Who possessed a doll).
  • Brother of the Sister–> Who is Deacon. Is only seen in a family photo.
  • Mother–> Who is Fin. Only seen in a family photo.
  • Lily’s mother–> Played by … She is nice, and gentle.

Outline

Mother and daughter moves into a Victorian house, just an normal ordinary family and house. But once Lily’s (the daughter) mother tells her to bring the boxes up to the attic, she wonders through the old family’s inventory. Lily opens a box and finds a Victorian family photo with scratched out faces except one. Which was the daughter. Lily hears a voice in the hallway to the attic, singing “La la la… *Giggles* I’m coming for you… LILY”. Something similar to that line. The doll will pop up when the doll (who is the little girl in that family photo) says ‘LILY’ and will jump at Lily, that will be the end.
